The Penumbler of the Sacred
I initiated a carers project at the RBC. We did this whole retreat and I don't remember actually very much about it. One of the things that was striking about it is we didn't do ritual. And what really struck me is what a huge difference it made to everything we did. It was like that penumbler of the sacred, which for me is the whole point of the Dharma life. That we were just reduced to worthwhile but uninspiring bits and bobs.
