i think recommendations, algarithmic recommendations, get harder the longer the content is. With tiktok, you can dip into a video for less than 60 seconds and know whether you're going to like it or not. But a podcast, you have to listen to a huge chunk of it,. so it's going to be hard for people who don't want to vest a lot of time just because an algorithm recommended to them. i've always been sceptical that some kind of algorithm can solve the the discovery. I just don't see that playing a major part.
