The Importance of Humor in SNL

I think that's about when I started watching it maybe eight or nine because I was watching them 51. You watch those SNLs now though, and you realize how when people 20 years from now try to watch current SNL, a lot of kids will not understand any of the humor. There was so much time sensitive material that if you weren't even born yet, or if you were just a kid and you didn't keep up with stuff like that, then you wouldn't get all the political references or anything like that. People get emotionally invested in something when their lives are simple and great and there's no bills and no kids to feed and no college to do and no whatever.
