The real concern for Australia in relation to that is the lack of guardrails or a system to try and stop the escalation of conflict. The Australian public are very committed to an open secure and prosperous region, he says. And if there was any attempt I think to unilaterally take back Taiwan by force from the Chinese government, it would be something that the Australian political class would be far more inclined to support than China. But we prefer to do that through all other means other than, you know, force.
