We think we are identifying the emotions and sensations, but what we're really doing is we're touching them for a second and then we're immediately back into our thought process. So emotion basically presents in the body first before we have labels for it. And it's great to notice the sensations even more than to find the labels because actually labeling our emotions is even is a cognitive act.
