Vistra and AMPIT Aren't Trying to Save the Environment
Vistra bought AMPIT, a company that has spent millions on solar projects and renewable energy. Vistra said they were going to retire some of their Illinois plants but had been able to continue running their dirtiest plants without any modern upgrades. The very second they got that applause for striving to be clean, they turned around and changed basically nothing. To put it simply, they give clean energy a dirty name. And I don't think ambient energy is a butterfly flapping in the air. It's something that can change this world forever.
