What's Happening to the Earth's Surface?

Europa has a young surface because there aren't that many impact craters on it. There's so much valcan ognism taking place, which eraces them faster than the distance they're created. So one of the things europe clipper will do is to look for this new material. This could give us clues about what makes up the crust and anything coming through from the oceans.
