The Importance of Gard in Mickey's Life
Mickey was a dark, complex child from Budapest whose father spoke heavily accented English. Over Michelos's objections, he forced Mickey to get circumcised at the age of 12. Gard and his sidekick Mickey would storm into the kitchen and grab whatever food they wanted. When Mickey did open up about Gard, the stories were alcohol soaked and violent.
