The Volatility Index Is a Good Guide to the Action in the Market
The market briefly tried to give us a head fake value on january eleventh twelfth, but the vix didn't take out its previous lows. Sebastian points out that the estimate of ha hundred came in with a hair of touching its previous low from march eight. When the volati of the index surged to 35 on the eighth, it only rallied to 31, point seven when the sp nearly revisited those lows on the fourteenth. That told you that the fear was evaporating.
