The Transition to the Information Society
There is a big understanding gap between the two ages from there or not ages, but I guess, um, epochs that they're referring to here. And it's kind of like going back to what you were just saying, right? When you talk to people who are older or and it's not necessarily an age thing, but it's a good heuristic. It's more like the, I would almost say like the old economy versus like, well, the industrial societies and we're transitioning to the information society.

In this episode of Made You Think, we discussed “The Sovereign Individual,” a book published in 1996 predicting how the Internet would change our lives and work over the following decades. Some of it’s come true, some of it is yet to come, but no book has made either of us think so much about how technology might destroy what we think of as citizenship, work, travel, community, and life.
