LK99 is the first superconductor that can transmit electricity at room temperature and ambient pressure. South Korean physicists say it will usher in what they call a new era for humankind. Lots of people have called these reports bogus or at least suspect. Several superconductor related stocks, mostly based in China or Korea, have seen surges on the heels of these papers.
