Introduction
A small study showed that feeding deer a type of ivermectin reduced the numbers of ticks drinking their blood. The anti-parasitic drug, which is mostly used on animals, gained a raucous following during the Covid pandemic. But multiple randomized trials could never reproduce the effect in infected people.
