The Role of Texts in Scholarship
There does seem to be something particular about texts that really affords this sort of exploration of issues and attempts at solving problems, doesn't there? I mean, it would seem that for all the advances that can come through discussion, for the necessity of talk to advancing ideas. That's why universities are gatherings of people on a campus, whatever shape that campus might take. E and yet, it is in the text work, if i might say, so that the complexities first get uncovered and explored, isn't it?
