The Supreme Court Can Fix Ethics Oversight at the Court
Judge Fogle says the Supreme Court should make its own ethical rules. The Senate Judiciary Committee has signaled it's interested in this issue, he says. But Chief Justice Roberts declined to testify at a hearing earlier this year because of his position as first among peers on the court,. He felt that for him to go to the Senate would somehow telegraph that he thought they would have authority to tell the court what to do," Judge Fogle says.
