If resentment overcomes mankind, it will pull mankind down into the darkness and the idiocy and the failure. A lot of Christians really, really struggle to think about this stuff,. The Romans greed means that they want to build this, you know, almost like a cancer cell, this giant super society of Rome. They just keep on bringing in more slaves until eventually they have like a million slaves in there who make up the Roman populace. But calling someone Roman is not going to give them catharsis over the deep, deep black resentment you have towards somebody who conquers you.
