The Importance of Marriage in Biblical Times

The man owns the woman. He takes her sexually, physically. She belongs to him. This is why you'll never read anywhere in the Bible. Anything about something like how a woman took a man or a woman marries a man, a woman wouldn't take a man. That's not how that worked. A woman could only be taken. And so again, the marriage process in ancient biblical times, again, we're just going to look at what was society like in the Old Testament time period with the Jewish people.
