The Politics of Race Essentialism

Race essentialism is a political tactic. It manifests politically in that you look at your own group and you have this idea that your own group is one, the correct one,. Two is being deprived of something, right? And three is in constant competition with another group who is responsible for the deprivations you're going through. Those are the three things that kind of solidify a group or racial essentialism. The more you can solidify that, the more powerful you are as a political entity.
