The Book of Nehemiah - A New Beginning
In verse 17, they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives. The rest of this chapter then, as the book of ezra ends, lists those who married outside the covenant and ended those marriages. And then the narrative shifts back to persia and on to the book of nehemiah. As we turn our attention to nehemiah, i pray that the lessons ofezra will linger in our hearts knowing that the temple came first. We'll now rebuild the walls, because that will give us a sense of self moving forward.
