The Importance of a Close Relationship With the EU
I do absolutely accept that nobody wants to talk about Brexit because they think it's code for, let's go back to the old divisions. I take it as a challenge and responsibility for those of us like the Labour Movement for Europe to make the case as to why it matters. What we're saying is actually the whole of the UK should have a special relationship with the European Union. Northern Ireland has been a really good example of this. Both Rishi Sunak and in Kistama have extolled the benefits of having a close relationship with the EU. We need to set out what we think that looks like so that we can start negotiations to see what is possible.
