When he was a young man you know sure things change but it was so much slower oh my god we just talked earlier I mean my god it wasn't that long ago when the first Texas Instruments handheld calculator came in. The economy of scale is the thing that leads to the stability of the system after a rapid growth phase and by the way that plays a very important role systematically for the sustainability of life on the planet. Most things end up being in a relatively stable state so a better stable state even though things are changing all the time.
