Dorothy's Death

Newton yarbury was found guilty of killing his stepdaughter Dorothy. The defence called character witnesses, and all said newton was a good man. There were drops of blood in the sand; Newton's feet were cut by sea shells and thorns. A jury foreman approached the judge after 20 hours saying they couldn't agree on whether or not to convict him. After about a week of testimony, the judge gave his final instructions to the jury on october thirteenth. One juror believed there wasn’t enough evidence to convict newton yarbery. He had no choice and he released the jury.
