What Is Loss and Damage?
The idea is that the countries that made money off of this problem should pay into a fund. The funds would be used to deal with climate adaptation, disaster relief and transitioning off of fossil fuels. No one has actually lived up to this promise. And yet, yo, you're exactly right. It's just this incredible unfairness tied to the reason that the costs are mounting in the first place.
