I get asked this question all the time so lets just address it right here shall we? Let's think about this, if you are truly doing ALL the things...implementing a gluten free lifestyle, eating right for your blood work, lifting heavy, getting proper sleep, then by all means we have to look at your symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms, we may need to alter your meds or change them up a bit. For example, you are unable to lose stubborn weight or still are gaining weight, experiencing hair loss, fatigue or brain fog, you are not optimized. Our next step is to them match these symptoms up with full thyroid and hormone labs. If your doctor won't test free T3 and Reverse T3, it's time for a new doctor. This doctor does not know the thyroid and you will never get the proper meds and dosage from him or her.
