Introduction

The Miramar Mountains National Natural Landmark is just over an hour from where Christopher grew up in California. A wildlife biologist named Chuck Black had offered to show Chris around the national natural monument. It's way less iconic, for sure, but it's much more special to see, and it's almost on the verge of disappearing.
