I Think the President's Party Loses Seats in the Midterms

I think in a midterm part of the reason that the president's party loses seats is your base gets complacent and also you can't please anyone. People feel like they did their job to get you there and they don't feel as motivated to go support your party in the midterms. Everything motivates people like an enemy and nothing motivates like anger. And until Dobbs, Democrats didn't have any of that. We even saw some slippage in Biden's numbers with Democrats going into the summer just with, I think, a malaise setting in. But still we're not talking about 50, 60 seat losses anymore. It doesn't mean it can't happen.
