The Strike of the Central Pacific Railroad

In 1867, Chinese workers on the railroad in California went on strike. They were demanding that their remains be sent back to China for burial. The work was grueling and involved collecting 20,000 pounds of human remains. It's summer when they are doing it; there is snow drifts up to 12 feet high.
