Is Ted Kennedy Still Able to Go to Communion?
People who are unmarried but in cohabiting sexual relationships, people who are in gay or lesbian sexual relationships. So I think there's a growing sense of, you know, the mercy of Jesus would be, look, let's not keep these people from communion. There is certainly the level of scandal at any public manifestation. And then there is the awareness that there are sins that automatically put us outside of communion by virtue of the seriousness of those sins. Any violation of the human sexuality, human dignity in that regard would again be treated with the same way as anybody else.
