Are You Reading the Prophets as Future Predictions of Jesus?

How many christians read the prophets sort of as future prediction kinds of people, right? There are a few very well known passages in isaiah that really sound like they simply have to be talking about a time far off in the future. So let's just put a different hat on and look at them as if they were written for isaiah's time, and not for a time that would be hundreds of years off.
