The Venture Apprenticeship Model
i joined as an associate at madrona when i was 24. It was the old school venture apprenticeship model. I showed up day one and knew nothing about venture. So it was this inverted pyr model where i got to work with everybody on a daily basis. The partners said, great, hears, here's a suite of ten, 12 companies and boards that you're going to join as a board observer. And it was really like, you'r going to carry the bag andyou're going to learn the business. But i was just so lucky.
