In september of 19 39, poland was invaded by germany. And so oddly enough, rather this called a rather mcob ention to the pavilion. People began flocking here, even as employees of the pavilion because they were from poland,. fretted and worried about their families back home. By the 19 forty fair, this pavilion was closed, as was finland and checasylvacia. A for that second year in 19 40, they even went one further with the soviet pavilion, which had a 79 foot tall statue of a worker named big joe holding a communist red star. Did that last the whole fair? No
