How to Create a Character in a Novel

Author says writing helps us become more compassionate ampathetic human beings through writing about people that we otherwise wouldn't necessarily research, or even try to meet. We have to understand all our characters, the minds of all our characters,. to really make them strong real characters in the reader's mind. And by going into their head, it makes you more, more kind of an ampathetic, i guess, in some ways, absolutely. No one is born angry prejudiced or bitter or whatever, some something as usually made them that way. That's part of what we do when we create characters. We we're creating fictional avotars of the people we see around us.
