Introduction
John Walton is a Professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College. He thinks we must understand the Bible on its own terms. If we want to know how old the Earth is, or whether evolution happened, we're not going to find those answers in the Bible. We have to look to science for answers to scientific questions.
