The First Black American Woman Cartoonis

Jackie orms was the first black American woman cartoonis to have her own syndicated comic strip. Her father died in an accident when she was young, and that left her and her younger sister in the care of their mother and other family members. She published her first cartoons in high school year books around ninete 29, 19 30. And so this is the first cartoon we see over the course of her life as we go through the rest of her career.
