The critical race theory attack is sort of predicated on the political race theory. On fanning people's anxieties about patriotism and their ability to transmit their own values to their children. That's why it has proven to be effective for Republicans. Democrats have had a hard time responding to it because I think they're responding to it in this very, well, obviously this is not popular, so, you know, it shouldn't work.
