Running a Long Ultramarathon

If you're replacing more than 90% of your fluid losses, which is not that common, but it can happen in the really long stuff, then you might have to go a little bit higher than these values. A lot of runners will identify this as kind of a training situation. It's not until you get into those sort of higher sweat sodium concentrations that replacing more than that might actually be of use to stop your blood sodium falling.
