The T Flap: How to Speak Quickly

The T flap can actually happen with the tongue flicking forward or backwards. For all intents and purposes, it sounds exactly the same when speaking quickly. So my tongue is effectively just flicking across the top of my mouth really quickly as if to make the T sound - which links the vowel sounds. The D afterwards turns into a T flap or D flap if you want to call it a D flap. We go backwards and forwards like that when T flaps and D flaps come next to one another as consonants such as 'she' and 'he', for example.
