The History of John Cabot

John Cabot's first voyage to the New World was a critical moment in history, as it opened up opportunities for others. Historian Alwyn Ruddick claimed to have evidence of Cabot's return in 1501. She never published anything, and then with her death, all of the information was destroyed. A new project at the University of Bristol has uncovered interesting information regarding the era but nothing that dramatically alters what we know.
