James Rupert's Upbringing

James Rupert was born on April 12th of 1934. His mother Charity told him from a very early age that she would have preferred having a daughter as her second child, giving him the distinct impression that he was unwanted. The family was frequently terrorized by a man whose lack of patience gave way to a violent temper and who showed his two children very little affection. James' older brother Leonard Jr. mimicked his late father's cruel and mocking behavior, often taunting James for being as he put it, a weakling.
