He says it was supposed to be a first step as we worked toward solving systemic problems that are still with us. LZ: We're pulling down the tent poles, collapsing everything and we're losing the space without ever having solved anything inside. "I don't think I can convince people to come up with concrete policies that target the black poor," he says.
