The Skepticism of Artificial Intelligence and the Criminal Justice System
I come from a country where the technology on the criminal justice side is pretty good. And meanwhile, we have a huge industry of rep-tech and vintech which as you say, I was skeptical about. It sometimes seems to me that these technology solutions exist to keep regulators happy and to tick boxes faster. But it's not really clear to me they produce something which is adding to the quality of what actually reaches the criminal justice system.
