The Dangers of Transparency Without Accountability
I'm a bit concerned that with the new lobbying register, we'll see much more of who's meeting government, but we won't necessarily see any action being taken. So I think that is a real danger that does need to be kept an eye on really. It's always been hard politically to make the kind of case house salience to voters because it isn't the number one issue if you ask them. But actually the backdrop of whether they can trust politicians to deliver and their integrity is really important.
