The Imperialist World System

Under capitalism, large corporations want to maximize their profit. So they look for new markets around the world in order to find other markets where workers will buy their products. Imperialists want to destroy all foreign competition so only US corporations and European corporations can dominate the global market. And that's what the US and Europe want to do to China. They want to destroy these Chinese tech companies like Huawei which are often even better honestly than Western products like iPhones or whatever with a planned obsolescence. That's what Joseph Burell is acknowledging here: The U.S. wants access to the Chinese market.
