The Industrial Revolution
High-grief spinning journey was a great boon for the domestic industry. It could be incorporated in people's homes and didn't upset traditional way of producing. But larger genies, with more spindles, had to be housed in large workshops. Hargreaves himself was the subject of two major disturbances where his workshops were raided and his machinery destroyed. The breakthrough came with the invention of power lume in the 1780s by Reverend Edmund Cartwright.
