Sally Kohn: If the Republican party were sane, perhaps I could imagine that it would pivot away from everything that you've just described. Given that it is not, it's not clear to me at all that it will reject the kind of playing things up for the camera even if that keeps losing at the polls. She says both parties need to be committed to Democratic norms and like having people have political opportunity within the Republican party to make a case for Democratic norms are first step towards reaching a more stable path out of the pit. The candidates with the biggest candidate quality questions are the ones backed by Donald Trump," she said.
