Is Propofol a GABA Aagonist?

propofol is a GABA agonist. It acts through that mechanism and causes amnesia, anesthesia, not a lot of analgesia. And then also, of course, it causes some systemic vasodilation and very small. We'll get into the side effects of it. The half-life of elimination is anywhere between 2 and 24 hours.
