The Importance of Cold Water

The clearest ice that I've ever seen was in Iceland. There's this, if you take a tour, there's this lake where glaciers are dropping blobs of ice into the lake and then they go out into the ocean. And then barfs them back up onto the shoreline and you walk along and they're just these chunks of glav diamond. The closest analogy I can think of is dust gathering together. As objects move into the inner solar system, while things don't get warm enough to melt crystalline ice, they do getwarm enough to transition ice from what's called amorphous ice to crystalline ice.
