The Glorious Revolution of 1688
When in the end did the Civil War come to an end? Well some people would argue you know it's been with us ever since. The Glorious Revolution of 1688 William and Mary basically restore Protestant rule to England. They're invited to take the throne so that it's a sort of formalization or the kind of beginning of a change if you like. But I also think the other thing that's so important is that although the execution of Charles I of course is such extraordinary radical event, it is a marker for things that will come later.
