Conviventia was the idea that moslems and jews and christians could live together. The best example of this would have been n the eighth and ninth centuries of spain. In cordoba, which was the capital of the umayd dynasty, they adopted a policy of tolerance. They were happy for them to pursue their own religions if they paid a certain tithe.
