How to Succeed in a Social Science Institution

There's hardly any moderates at this point in social science. You have a huge minority on the far form and you have no counterbalance on the right because they're all after all practical purposes in the social sciences. The way grants are allocated, I mean, formally it's decision in the program officer was a political appointee but there are grant panels of academics who then evaluate the proposals that are submitted for funding. And so these grant titles are filled with, even if they simply grew from academics, representative of academia, they would be dominated by people on the left.
