When I was a child, my mother wouldn't have put a freeze on my credit report. There's no way because she was using my credit. If you are a parent with good intentions and you want to protect your child from identity theft, absolutely. Never click on links in emails, especially when it comes to financial information. You don't know who's on the other end of that email.
